Dr Szemis qualified from the Medical University of Warsaw, Poland in 2012 after which he moved to the North East where he worked as a junior doctor in various hospitals in County Durham and Teesside. He qualified as a GP in 2017 after which he joined the team at Neasham Road Surgery.

He has a special interest in joint injections and minor surgery – which he performs at the surgery. In his spare time he enjoys going to the gym, travelling, skiing, racing cars, electronics, cooking and playing Warhammer 40k
